CACiS, though its annual project programme, means to showcase the reality of rural Catalonia, especially that of its women.

Women play a crucial role in enrooting population into a land and guarantee its continuity, acting as a fundamental cornerstone in any balanced territorial organization.

Equality of opportunity for women is still not fully achieved in urban and industrialized societies, even more so in rural areas, where such an idea is implementing at a far slower pace due to social, demographic and cultural factors.

CACiS aims to ensure women who live and work in rural areas can access culture and information. Development of new information and communication technologies is key to their full integration into the 21st Century world.

Through its activities, CACiS intends to promote dialogue between women from urban and rural areas by means of culture, art and communication.
